General Information
Orders
All orders for badges and name bars must be submitted on
official V.H. Blackinton & Co., Inc. order forms provided to all dealers
at no charge. Other products produced by Blackinton® may be ordered on your own company order forms. Do not
combine badge orders with other items as it will simply delay processing of your orders.
MOST IMPORTANT! Be sure that all information vital to producing your order is
provided initially to help ensure timely processing and quicker delivery of your orders.
Cancellations & Changes to Existing Orders
The nature of our operation is such that changes or cancellation of orders once
received are extremely time consuming and simply delay the processing of orders on-hand.
Therefore, we can only allow changes or cancellations within 24 hours after receipt of
orders.
NO EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED.
Deliveries
Most orders received in our office are processed through our order entry system
usually within 24 hours. Orders found to be incomplete are set aside until missing
information can be obtained. The process of producing a quality badge is unavoidably
time consuming. Although we carry a large inventory of stock components, they are all
in the raw state and require additional work prior to assembly. Normal delivery on
orders is 4 to 6 weeks. However, if custom badge styles, panels, or other components
are needed, the lead time, unfortunately, is extended. Due to our stringent quality
control guidelines, a badge may be rejected at any point in the manufacturing process.
Once this occurs, it may have to be remade, again causing unavoidable delays. Delays
of this type, however, are minimal.
Dies
Requests for new dies must include information as to proper ownership. This
information is recorded on our permanent record along with the dealer placing the order
to avoid any conflict as to exclusivity. The die owner, whether it be an authorized
dealer or an end user, has the exclusive right to determine actual usage of the die.
Die charges are billed to the customer involved with the understanding
that the actual dies are to remain in the custody of V.H. Blackinton & Co.,
Inc. for the exclusive use of that customer unless otherwise notified in writing.
Should the customer owning the
dies request the dies be returned, a charge of 25% of the original cost
will be imposed to cover the servicing and handling of the dies.
Art Designs
To assure complete conformity to your requirements, please state clearly and in
detail all of your specifications. Whenever possible, include a rough drawing of your
ideas from which Blackinton® will provide an artist rendering.
It cannot be copied or used for competitive bidding without the express written
consent of V.H.

Quotations
We are happy to provide quotations upon request. All quotations are subject to
changes contingent upon current cost of raw materials, strikes, accidents, or other
delays unavoidable or beyond the company's control.
